Instructions

The assessment tasks for this unit form an interactive case study where each stage builds upon the previous one. Therefore, rather than treating each assessment task individually, you should treat all 3 assessment tasks as one.

Commencing with this first assessment, you are required to imagine that you are setting up a new business: a nail salon.

At different times in your working life you may decide to set up your own business, and the skills and knowledge developed in this assessment item will help you understand concept maps and their usefulness in making sense of complex environments.

Task:

For this assessment you need to construct a concept map which demonstrates your understanding of the interaction of different external economic and regulatory forces. Based on this concept map, you will then examine those regulations and economic forces you have chosen in the discussion.
