Task description

Your case study analysis should be based on the literature, what you have learnt in class as well as information sourced from clients/patients. Your sources may include but not be limited to the quantitative and qualitative research literature, current textbooks, other expert advice, and clients/patients values and preferences. You will outline which health professions would be involved, provide a synopsis of the role of your health profession, and postulate the likely health and healthcare experience of the person.

You will be assessed on the extent to which you meet the learning objectives which, in turn, reflect professional expectations in this area. In particular, you will be marked on your knowledge of:

health conditions (e.g., aetiology, prognosis, functional and economic impacts);
relevant treating health professionals and their roles in conventional and evidence-based practice;
occupational therapy broad roles and services in the management of the co-existing conditions;
use of professional reasoning to recommend the most appropriate occupational therapy assessment and treatments/interventions (i.e., supported by current evidence, text books or clinical expertise);
use of professional reasoning to postulate the likely health and healthcare experience of the person;and
professional presentation skills including structure, spelling, punctuation and grammar which contribute to ease of reading and interpreting.
