In topics 1 & 2 you have been introduced to project management, selection and prioritisation and the importance of determining a Measurable Organisational Value (MOV).
Using the Globex project scenario, detailed in the Project Briefing in the subject Interact 2 site
1.Justify the selection and prioritisation of the project
2.Describe and develop the project’s MOV
In regards to the MOV - Measurable Organisational Value:
This is the goal of the project and is utilised to define the value that the project will bring to your client.
1.Identify the desired area of impact - Rank the following areas in terms of importance: Strategy / Customer / Financial / Operational / Social
2.With reference to your project, identify one or two of the following types of value:
a.Better - is improving quality important to your client?
b.Faster - does your client want to increase efficiency?
c.Cheaper - is cutting costs important?
d.Do more - does your client want to continue its growth?
3.Develop an appropriate metric - this sets the target and expectation of all the stakeholders. It is important to determine a quantitative target.
4.Determine the timeframe for achieving the MOV –i.e. when does Globex want to achieve this target metric?
5.Summarise The Mov In a Clear Concise Statement Or Table
