Based on the project description which you have submitted as your project charter (individual assignment) answer the following questions:

4. The figures used in Earned Value Analysis provide measures to indicate the status of a project incorporating measures for time, cost and scope. The key values are Earned Value, Planned Value and Actual Cost. The following calculations have been made for a project:
a) Calculate cost and schedule variances, cost and schedule performance indices, estimate to complete, estimate at completion and to complete performance index (5 marks)
b) What do these figures indicate? (10 marks)
c) If you are the Project Manager, what actions would you take based on these figures? (5 marks)
5. Consider the following network diagram for a project. The duration of each activity (in days) is given.
(a) Calculate early start, early finish, late start, and late finish for each of the activities using the Two-Pass method. Assume the project starts on Day 0. Fill in the table below. (6 marks)
(b) Identify all of the paths on the network diagram and show their duration. (3 marks)
(c) What is the critical path for this project and how long is it? (2 marks)
(d) What does “slack” mean? Which of the activities in this project have slack? (2 marks)
(e) What would be the effect on the project if Activity E takes 10 days to complete? (2 marks)
(f) As the project manager, what are the two techniques could you use to bring the project back to its original scheduled completion target? Give an example using the data above to illustrate your answer.
