Models of Public Relations
Grunig and Hunt (1984) proposed the a Tour Models of Public Relations which provided an early typology to explain the practice of public relations. Critically analyse the usefulness of Grunig and Hunt a-Four Models of Public Relations (1984) for public relations professionals based on government communication relating to COVID-19 issues in one Australian state or territory. Use real examples and a minimum of six academic sources (at least four of which MUST be from the reading list) to support your discussion. Please note, the four academic sources must be drawn from public relations/communication literature.
The reading list provides a good starting point. Reference: Grunig, JE & Hunt, T 1984, Managing public relations, Holt, Rinehart & Winston, New York. A key component of this essay is demonstrating an excellent understanding of the course material you have studied. Failure to include two sources from the unit material will result in a 20 per cent reduction in your grade for the essay. Failure to follow the guidelines below will also result in a significant loss of marks.
