Your presentation should be between 10 and 15 minutes (15 minutes maximum). You will choose a situation from practice that has the potential to impact on the mental health and wellbeing of yourself and/or colleagues in the clinical environment. This should be a situation you have found challenging or you perceive to be challenging.
You will reflect on your chosen situation and consider strategies to manage the wellbeing of yourself and others to ensure you can respond in a professional manner including consideration of cultural and social sensitivities.
Details:
1. You must not go over the maximum time of 15 minutes as you are developing the confidence and skills in succinctly delivering information that demonstrates your knowledge. These are also important skills when working with clients, carers and colleagues in clinical practice.
2. You may decide to use a reflective model to structure your work, but it is important to ensure that you demonstrate your reading and focus on analysis rather than description.
3. Identify health and wellbeing of self and others in relation to capability to practice and respond in a professional manner

You should provide a brief summary of the aim of each PowerPoint slide (no more than 150 words) in the notes section on PowerPoint. This is not required for the reference list slide or the title slide.
You should provide a concise introduction to your chosen situation.
You should explain why you feel the situation is challenging and what the literature says about the challenges.
You should explore strategies to help you manage and respond professionally in the clinical environment including how you can manage your own wellbeing or support the wellbeing of others.
You should conclude your presentation by identifying what you have learnt and how you will practice differently in the future as a result of your learning from completing this presentation. If you are referring to service users or carers in your presentation please ensure the language you use is person centred/recovery focused.
You must support your work to show wider reading and demonstrate critical thinking in your presentation (not description). References should be mainly from academic journals and you should ensure that you access the most recent publications/research. If you use older publications/research you should justify your decision to include them in your work. Please refer to the ECU APA referencing guide.
Anonymity and confidentiality must be maintained and therefore if you choose to a topic identified from your practice experience you need to ensure you do not use any identifying features, personal information or organisational details. Marks will be awarded as per the SNM marking rubric for this unit
