The first area of legislative in context to an organization are laws related to employment. The employment law aims to protect the employees and look after the health, safety and the rights of them. Suppose any organization working in Australia need to consider the main employment law that is “The Fair Work Act 2009” and the “Fair Work Regulations 2009” these laws specifically administer the employees and the employer in Australia (Worth, and Squelch, 2015). Under this law employees are provided with basic rights, flexible work settings, prevent discrimination.

Environmental Law

Under the regulatory area the environmental law falls. Any organization working in Australia needs to follow the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, this is Australia’s national law related to environment. Any people or organization not complying with the with the act will be punished, unless they get approval from an official or minister in Australia (Miller et al., 2015). The motive of the law is to protect the environment as well as the commonwealth land.

The three techniques that can be used to cultivate collaborative relationships and partnerships are as followsThe first technique that can be used to cultivate collaborative relationships and partnerships is to align with the partners (strategic) with the same amount of care, as one does while hiring new employees.

The second technique is to know the organization of the partner as well as one’s own. It is important to look for a partner that has same vision. The benefit will be that an individual can work closely and in a collaborative way with the partner for a long period of time, thus it is important to align the vision, culture, and purpose to work properly (Chicksand, 2015).Thirdly, it is important to openly communicate and in an effective way with the partners so that a collaborative relationship can be maintained. It is very important to communicate face to face. It also important to communicate honestly, so that the relationship can be maintained in the most profitable way.

Question 4:

List and describe three (3) data collection methods (approx. 50-100 words). Three data collection methods are as followsThe first, method used to collect data is through interview, here the interviewer asks questions face to face or through online or telephone, based on the questions the responses are taken down, this form of data collection is applicable when only few respondents are present. It is a time-consuming technique to collect data (Paradis et al., 2016).

Survey is another form of data collection that is used to collect data from the target audience, and from the survey the preference, choices, are collected so that those feedbacks can be used to improve the products and services. There is various software used to collect survey (Series). Questionnaire- is one type of data collection method that is where open and closed ended questions are formed based on which data is collected, and analyze it in order to improve the quality of products, services based on the data collected (Igwenagu, 2016).

Identify and explain the type of analysis that can be used to analyse the eternal content of the business environment (approx. 150-200 words).

Secondary Research- most of the company uses the secondary research method to collect information external environment that would affect their business. The data that already exists is brought together in order to increase the effectiveness the research conducted. The secondary data are materials available in form of documents, reports that is easily available in public libraries, websites, surveys, government and non-governmental agencies. There are many data that are kept confidential, it can also be retrieved and used for analysing the external business environment (Largan, and Morris, 2019).

PESTLE- the PESTLE analysis is also known as PEST is a concept related to the marketing principles. This is used as a tool by many companies to track the external environment that they are operating or will be operating for successfully launching new product, project, service. The acronym of PESTLE stands for P for Political, E for Economic, S for Social, T for Technological, L for Legal, and E for Environmental. It gives an overall view about the market a company wants to enter or conduct business while anticipating plans and ideas. These help the organization to gain insight about the external factors that might impact their business decisions. It helps the leader to have a good understanding about the risk, and change their decisions accordingly (Perera, 2017).

Explain what emotional intelligence is, including and its relationship to individual and team effectiveness (approx. 100-150 words).

The Emotional intelligence is the ability to sense, control, and analyze the emotions. Many studies have shown that the emotional intelligence is a learned behaviour that can be strengthened by working upon it, many suggests that it is an inborn nature. It is very important to control and express the emotions, simultaneously, it is important to understand emotions as well, and properly respond to it. In a workplace is it necessary to understand the emotions of  the employees and vice-versa (Serrat, 2017). Any organization or any other institutions that fosters high levels of emotional intelligence helps in building strong team an helps them to take proper decisions so that they can solve problem in creative way, it also helps the team to maintain quality service and improve performance, trust, commitment level, collaboration, interpersonal relationships. At an individual level it helps people to easily connect with others, turn their intentions into actions, and also help them to take informed decision for better performance and development in career.

The effective management of change can be implemented successfully by following eight stages or steps (Kotter’s change model)-

Create urgency- Change within organization is very much necessary for being successful. An environment needs to be created by the leaders within the organization where the employees need to be made aware about the existing problem and why it needs to be addressed urgently. A clear communication is needed that will where everything will be communicated so that a sense of urgency can be created. This sense of urgency will help the employees understand the reason behind change so that they can work with the leaders collaboratively in bringing change. It is important to form a powerful coalition within the organization. Leaders and managers cannot bring change alone, they need to work with the staffs in order to bring change in a proper way. Skills, range of experience is very much important to bring in effective coalition so that business can be maximized (Pollack, and Pollack, 2015).

It is important to create a vision of change, at times it becomes difficult for the employees to understand the reason behind the change, specially for the employees who belong from the lower hierarchy level. Hence, it is important to create a clear vision that would create a clear understanding about the need for change.

Once the vision is cleared, it needs to be communicated effectively, in order work properly on the change.

Remove obstacle is the next stage of change management. Employees is the major obstacle to change; the leaders need to explain the benefits of change management to the employees so that it can effective be implemented.

Sort term-goals need to be implemented. In the change process long-term strategies generally do not work, hence short-term plans need to be made in order to reach the goal.

The changes need to be worked hard upon so that it becomes a part of the organization, just like goals and culture.
