The study intends to focus on investigating the potential for disruptive business models to be applied for electricity supply considering the given case instance of University of Wollongong and Energy Future Network. In the proposal, establishment of a clear introductory segment with organisational background, aim, objective and others has been done. Additionally, a basic idea on literature review that will be conducted in the final study along with conceptual framework has been included. Moreover, methodological paradigm with research design and measurement has been effectively described prior to stating sampling plan, statistical plan and timeline for the research.
Description of the Business under Study
Sustainable and secure energy supply can be contemplated as a fundamental requirement for any prosperous country or society (Farrelly and Tawfik 2020). Likewise, this study intends to focus on the project of University of Wollongong (UOW) regarding their future energy needs in association with Energy Futures Network. UOW is planning to incorporate an electrical grid that must evolve for developing a system with smart meters, effective level of energy sources, smart loads, smart storage, and optimisation of this far more complex system with the help of consulting firm Energy Futures Network. Energy issues in current times have become a global challenge that requires research as well as innovation on a wide range of energy technologies (Sioshansi 2019). Therefore, this partnership between the university and the commercial entity will ensure innovation management on a wide range of energy technologies.
Definitions
Smart Grid
Smart grid can be considered as an electrical grid that includes a variety of operation as well as energy measures. The operations include smart distribution board, advanced metering infrastructure, and circuit breakers.
Atmospheric Chemistry
Atmospheric chemistry can be considered as a branch of atmospheric science through which the chemistry of the earth’s atmosphere is defined (Ivanov 2017). In electrical sector, the impact of electrical discharges in planetary atmosphere is effectively demonstrated.
Power quality
Power quality can be contemplated as the degree to which the frequency, voltage, and waveform of a power supply system conform to establish specifications.
