Assessment Description In this individual a ssessment , students will be given an opportunity to examine the types of gaming and entertainment activities undertaken in the hospitality and tourism markets more closely . More importantly, students will form an understating of the managerial problems related to technological disruption in the gaming and entertainment industries. Assess ment Instructions During week 8 , your workshop facilitator will form the class into pairs. Once creat ed, you and your partner A ttendance is mandatory so that you can a) get acquainted with your partner and b) discuss you r team working style by review ing th e team inventory questionnaire results . Your workshop facilitator will provide further guidance on the day of your scheduled class. During week 9 , you and your partner must participate in a 60 - minute role - playing activity in which you are to assume the role of dual leadership: one person will take on the role of the entertainment manager, whil e the other person will take on the role of the venue manager. Your workshop facilitator will provide you with a hypothetical proble m at the start of this activity. Once received, you and your partner are required to collaboratively discuss potential solutions based on the hypothetical problem perspective . Upon the conclusion of the role - playing activity, the pairs must deliver a 5 - minute debriefing speech to the workshop facilitator and classmates by outlining the main points of the discussion. By the beginning of week 10 , individually, you are required to submit a 7 00 word written proposal bas ed on the role - playing activity, in which you must provide three managerial recommendations addressing the problem from your perspective. Each recommendation should be supported with r elevant sources of information and industry - specific examples that validate what you have proposed.
