Task A – Knowledge Base Questions

Task B – Practical
As a real or simulated workplace activity as directed by the assessor, you must engage in the following workplace tasks in regards to a WHSMS.
This will involve working and speaking with the relevant WHS contacts and persons in the workplace; you must conduct these tasks according to the requirements of the organisation/workplace, and will be given access to workplace equipment and resources, WHS policies and procedures, and relevant acts, regulations, codes of practice and any other available guidance materials to:
Support and facilitate the implementation of a WHSMS
Develop WHS policy and commitment to a WHSMS
Develop a WHS plan
Implement a WHS plan
Measure and evaluate WHS performance
Review and improve the WHSMS.
Your answer must be documented clearly and presented professionally.
Task B 1 Portfolio of evidence your name and submit to Moodle.
You must ensure the learner has access to a real or simulated workplace to conduct this activity. You must direct the learner on what they are required to do and ensure that WHS contacts and persons (real or representing those roles) are available and made known to the learner for interacting within this activity. The learner must be given access to workplace equipment andresources, WHS policies and procedures, and relevant acts, regulations, codes of practice and any other available guidance materials to conduct this. You must also ensure the learner is givena suitable timeframe by which completion of the portfolio of evidence must be done and submitted to you.
As a real or simulated workplace activity as directed by the assessor, perform a review of the organisation’s WHS policies and procedures to determine if and where improvements in health and safety of employees at work can be made.
Read and review current WHS policy and procedures
Assess and analyse past and current WHS performance
Extracts and evaluates the mathematical information embedded in a range of tasks and texts in measuring and evaluating WHS performance
Selects from, and applies, an expanding range of mathematical and problem-solving strategies measuring and evaluating WHS performance
Consult with WHS contacts to discuss the results of your review and analysis, and to determine whether WHS policy can be improved (and how).
Document the outcomes of your review in a report; this should include your own findings and the results of your discussions with the WHS contacts.
