Task:
Assessment Task 1: Knowledge Questions
Assessment Task 2 assesses your knowledge in aspects of the unit.
Required:
1. Answer all the questions provided on the TAE Academy learner portal.
Answer each question in your own Word.
Question types and styles will vary and may include but are not limited to multiple choice, selection, short answer etc.
Copying and pasting from the learning resources or any public resource will not be accepted.
All multiple-choice questions will be automatically assessed by our system upon exiting the activity
Any incorrect questions or unsaved questions will be returned to you to attempt again either as the same multiple-choice question or as an alternative short answer question depending on the number of attempts allowed for each question
All saved short answer and uploaded responses will remain until you have responded to all questions
Once all questions have been answered press ‘submit my assessment’ on the last question or task upload to send your responses to your assessor for marking
End of Assessment Task 1, Continue to Assessment Task 2.
2. First Training Needs Analysis and Learning Program for a case study client Instructions:
For this task, you are required to carry out a training needs analysis and come up with a learning program plan for a pre-determined case study client.
Initial information has been gathered from this client and collated into the supporting evidence document.
Steps:
Part A – Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
Read and review the supporting evidence, this will provide you with some background information about the client: - ABC Pty Ltd, the workplace, and their employees. This is to assist in your research torecommend a suitable course for them
Based on the content of the supporting evidence, fill in the training needs analysis document in full
Part B - Recommended course
Conduct your research to find and select a suitable VET qualification or skillset
Complete the recommended course document in full
Incorporate detail that aligns with the client needs to demonstrate why you are recommending this qualification or skillset
Part C – Contextualisation
Choose one unit of competency from your recommended course or skillset
Populate the contextualisation document with all components of your chosen unit
Make amendments to the unit where applicable to show the client how it can relate it to their workplace environment, their policies, procedures and their equipment
Highlight any changes that you make as you work through this (a sample is provided in your portal)
Part D – Learning program
Using the same unit as in part C, complete a learning program based on how you would deliver and assess this single unit of competency
Ensure that all of the fields are completed with the client and their operational workplace environment in consideration
Part E – Session planner
Using the same unit as in part C and D, complete a session plan based on how you would deliver and assess this single unit of competency
Break the learning content into realistic and manageable segments
Ensure that your session plan demonstrates how the training would be delivered and assessed in a logical sequence
Task 2.2 Second Training Needs Analysis and Learning Program for a real client Instructions:
For this task, you are required to conduct a second training needs analysis and come up with a learning program plan for a client of your choice.
Please ensure your client is a real person or business. This task cannot be completed as a case study or simulation as two-way communication is part of the required foundation skills.
To meet the requirements, ensure your reccomended course is a different one and from another training package than your first Task 2.1
Steps:
Part A - Client meeting
Meet with a client of your choice to discuss any current or future training needs. Be sure to have a workplace supervisor involved as a third-party witness to this meeting
Fill in the training needs analysis document in full
Set a date for a second meeting to go back with your recommended course program
Part B - Recommended course
Conduct your research on training.gov.au to find a suitable VET qualification or skillset
Complete the recommended course document in full
Incorporate detail that aligns with the client needs to demonstrate why you are recommending this qualification or skillset
Part C – Contextualisation
Choose one unit of competency from your recommended course or skillset

Part F - Client follow up
Meet a second time with your client to discuss the recommended course or skillset. Be sure to once again, have your workplace supervisor involved as a third-party witness to this meeting
Discuss the proposed course or skill set with your client, working through part B
Show the client your contextualisation example - part C to demonstrate what this looks like to suit their needs
Encourage the client to ask any questions and detail any changes or further suggestions that they may have to the proposed course – Finalise parts D and E
Part G - Third party verification
Have your workplace supervisor that attended both meetings complete the third-party report in full End of Assessment Task 2 Summary of tasks in the portal
