Business Communication in Management Communication refers to act of sending messages which are verbal, nonverbal, formal, non formal through various media channels as long the message specifies an action or an idea (Markovic and Salamzadah, 2018).
Within the context of contemporary business organizations, this communication is regarded as management function in which creation, interpretation and communication of ideas, feelings, facts on work performance, organizational efficiency, organizational goal attainment take place.
This shows that business communication involves in analysing the way in which effective communication can be achieved within the organizations which are undergoing significant changes for meeting technological, social and also and economic demands (Hartley and Bruckman, 2021).
As organizations deal with several stakeholders both internal and external to the organization, this business communication involves in giving feedback and also receiving it among the individuals and group of people to exchange information and after the workplace performance.
This indicate that business communication involves different types of communication like interpersonal communication, group communication, written communication and oral communication.
The importance of contemporary organizations promoting effective communication has been acknowledged because of advantages like promoting work collaboration among the employees, promoting creativity and innovation within the organization, better understanding the employees, improving employee performance through positive feedback, promoting stakeholder relationship, improving the work-related ethics and there by contributing towards overall organizational development (Munzal, 2017).
On the other hand, the contemporary organizations are characterized to have multi cultural and diversified teams were employees come from different cultures.
Managing these employee differences and promoting effective teamwork within the organization can be done through facilitating effective business communication (Hartley and Bruckman, 2021).
However, promoting effective business communication is not a straightforward task and depends on several organizational factors like the type of organizational culture, type of Informational Communication Technology (ICT) used and type of organizational structure and the performance of communication.
