3. Topic 3 – The prevention of burnout among healthcare professionals Scenario: Healthcare professionals are at-risk experiencing of stress and burnout due to chronic interpersonal stressors. High work pressures and stress due to compassion fatigue, shift work, high staff turnover and increasing patient acuity are some factors associated with burnout (Masiero et al., 2018). Burnout can affect cognitive functioning such as difficulty in concentrating, decreased attention and poor decision making that can negatively affect patient (Masiero et al., 2018). Assessment Title Assessment Task 2: ePoster and Written Script Purpose The To To demonstrate your ability to develop teamwork and enable you to demonstrated resourcefulness and effective communication whilst working online with a group of peers to produce an ePoster, detailing the development of a research question and a database to search for the best available evidence. There are two (2) parts to this assessment: an ePoster and a written script. Due Date ePoster and written scripTask ePoster In allocated teams you will jointly produce an ePoster using a template, that details your team’s structured search for research evidence. Teams will be required to develop a research question from the available scenarios and outline their search strategy on the template. Each team members contribution to the ePoster will be colour coded. The ePoster is to be created using the PPT template provided in the HLSC122 LEO assessment tile under ‘Assessment 2’ heading. Each student is required to submit their team’s ePoster and team declaration (as applicable) online and submit a written script on a specific topic. Written script Each student is required to submit a written script that addresses one question presented in the Extended Unit Outline. You cannot answer the same questions as another member of your team. You will communicate and collaborate with other members of your team to identify which team member will be addressing which question. Target Audience Nursing, midwifery and paramedicine healthcare professionals Submission The ePoster should be saved and submitted as a PDF file. Each student must submit their team’s E-poster & Team Declaration into the HLSC122 LEO Campus tile, Assessment task 2 Drop Box. Each student must submit their own individual Written Script into the HLSC122 LEO Campus tile, Assessment task Optional/ don’t have to be used: Flush left, bold, capitalize each word Structure Essay Structure as per the Academic Skills Unit guide: Introduction, body, conclusion, reference list Direct quotes Quotes from references should not be used for this assessment Header Page number top right corner References Should include at least four (4) including: the two best pieces of literature (i.e. research studies) from your database search, and two academic references which are textbooks that have supported your knowledge and skills in database searching Age of References Published in the last 5 years as this area of knowledge is rapidly developing. Note that this excludes seminal (original) works, which have no age limitations. Reference List Heading “References” is centered, bold, on a new page.
