Rationale
This report enables a student to examine how a particular social need is being addressed within the Australian context.
Task
Identify two local organisations that deliver services to one of the following sectors:
a. Homelessness Support
b. Domestic/Family Violence
The essay should compare and contrast the two across pre-determined criteria using secondary research only:
1.Description of organisations and their functioning
This section should describe the purpose of the organisation and provide an overview of the functioning of each of the organisations (for example, their legal structure, whether they are voluntary and so on)
2.Analysis of their programs and approach to client health and wellbeing
a.This section should present the types of programs each organisation deliver and how the two may inform/complement or contest each other.
b.This section should discuss whether the organisations serve the social need at a micro, meso or macro level. The content must be supported by relevant scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles
3.Analysis and Predictions for the future
a.This section should present an analysis of the strengths of and the risk factors associated with the two organisations.
b.Reflect on the evolution of the social need (drawing on research for Assessment 1 and Assessment 2, relevant course content and scholarly sources) and evaluate how the two organisations are positioned to address/serve the above-mentioned need
